A brief history on Jason, Greenhands and Sustainability Property...
Inspired by the pioneer Bill Mollison during his Permaculture Design Course in 1989, 16 year old Jason rewound the clock on 6 generations of farming in his family and became a crusader of ethical & traditional farming systems from around the world whilst travelling, teaching and most of all learning from 7 years studying nutritional farming food systems, commodities trading and ecosystem revival throughout the 1990's. From his late 80's TAJ Organics (Total Agricultural reJuvination) beginnings in backyard and broadacre principles toward soil as a science to 1995 Kindesign, a partnership in kind with a creative landscape builder in his travels and teachings to create gardens that become topics. In 1998 Greenhands became the evolution of then a decade of studying food and the principles that define its success, offering a far wider respect from the land management and developments toward Organic certifications. Having hosted Australia's first CSA's across key East Coast locations to develop food supply awareness and the networks of growers, producers across each region as a community connection and evolution to food sourcing and supply chains in local areas. A head of its time here in Australia, the process continued steadily until an awareness toward food became a point of concern. Enter Grounded Permaculture, a celebration to the processes of becoming involved with a subject that has almost become a trend. In summary, it seems Jason has been at the forefront of ethical food and the healthy lifestleys that go with it and it all started with his grandparents on the farm.
The rest is history in the making.

As a community leader, radio personality, efficiency expert, festival speaker and documentarian amongst his 21 year stint on the Sunshine Coast Qld, Jason has brought a light onto the culture of food in our society since his return to Australia in 1998. From developing the first Community Support Agriculture (CSA) networks along the east coast from 1998-2005, to initiating the transition of 128,000 hectares of wheat to Organic for a well know major brand and encouraging regional cotton farmers to look at soil science to combat plant resilience and further his successes in rewinding time and seeing a common sense in growing, ultimately winning a series of competitions for Cotton, Mung Bean, Chick Pea before acting as specialist agronomist for a selection of growers 1998-2007.
